Bosentan is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, a type of high blood pressure in the lungs that can cause shortness of breath and fatigue.

It is also used in systemic sclerosis to reduce the number of new digital ulcers, which are painful sores on the fingers or toes caused by poor blood flow.

Usual adult dose range: 62.5mg twice daily for 4 weeks, then 125mg twice daily if tolerated; lower body-weight-based doses are used in some children.
