Dabrafenib is used with trametinib for melanoma with a BRAF V600 mutation that cannot be removed by surgery or has spread.

It is also used with trametinib after surgery for BRAF V600 mutation-positive melanoma to lower the chance of the cancer coming back.

Dabrafenib with trametinib is used for several BRAF V600E mutation-positive cancers, including metastatic non-small cell lung cancer, anaplastic thyroid cancer, some solid tumours, and some low-grade gliomas.

Usual adult dose range: 50mg to 150mg twice daily; the usual starting dose is 150mg twice daily, often with trametinib when the treatment plan calls for combination therapy.
