Nilotinib is used for Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukaemia in the chronic phase, including newly diagnosed disease.

It is also used for chronic or accelerated phase chronic myeloid leukaemia when earlier treatment, such as imatinib, has not worked well enough or is not tolerated.

Usual adult dose range: 300mg to 400mg twice daily, depending on whether chronic myeloid leukaemia is newly diagnosed or has not responded to earlier treatment.
