Ruxolitinib is used for myelofibrosis, a bone marrow disease that can cause an enlarged spleen, low blood counts, and symptoms such as fatigue or night sweats.

It is also used for polycythaemia vera after hydroxyurea has not worked well enough or is not tolerated, and for some forms of graft-versus-host disease.

Usual dose range: 5mg to 25mg twice daily, with the starting dose based mainly on platelet count, blood counts, and the condition being treated.
