Sorafenib is used for hepatocellular carcinoma that cannot be removed by surgery.

It is used for advanced renal cell carcinoma.

It is also used for differentiated thyroid cancer that has spread or cannot be removed by surgery and no longer responds well to radioactive iodine.

Usual adult dose range: 200mg to 400mg twice daily; the usual starting dose is 400mg twice daily.
