Tofacitinib is used for moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and some forms of axial arthritis when other treatments have not worked well enough or are not suitable.

It is also used for moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis and for some children with polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis.

Usual adult dose range: 5mg to 10mg twice daily for immediate-release tablets, or 11mg to 22mg once daily for extended-release tablets, depending on the autoimmune condition.
