Venetoclax is used for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma, either on its own or with other medicines depending on previous treatment.

It is also used with azacitidine, decitabine, or low-dose cytarabine for newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukaemia in adults who cannot have intensive chemotherapy.

Usual adult dose range: treatment usually starts at 20mg once daily and is increased stepwise, commonly to 400mg once daily for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia or to 400mg to 600mg once daily in some acute myeloid leukaemia regimens.

Indications vary by country and change over time; this website contains information for general patient information and should be checked against local prescribing information before clinical use.

Verification Approach: Each indication and usual dose-range sentence was drafted from at least two recognised medicines information sources, usually FDA/DailyMed or an FDA label plus EMA/eMC, MedlinePlus, Mayo Clinic, Cancer Research UK, NCI/ Cancer.gov, or another reputable medicines-information source.
